Free Podcast on Asterisk

Asterikast is a free podcast (both video and audio) on Asterisk. While episode 1 covers basic setup, episode 2 covers the more advanced topics like voicemail and conference bridges.

NAT Traversal for the SIP Protocol

Freshmeat has a nice article on the problem with SIP behind NAT routers. It speaks of some solutions like STUN and ICE. The article also explains why Skype does not have this problems.

INEEN: Yet Another Free Voice And Video Service

Just as the yakforFree I was writing about a few days ago, it seems there is a similair service called Ineen. Similair functions so I don’t know of any advantages over yakforFree. Funny note: “Ineen” in dutch means “in one” as in “All In One”. Seems a pretty good description for their service and softphone.
