AAH 2.8beta1, might as well wait for the final.

Asterisk@Home 2.8beta1 is available for download. I have really no idea why this is a beta, and I feel a little reluctant installingen it since new releases keep coming and there is no other way to upgrade an existing installation than installing the whole package and restoring your old config files.

However, this beta comes with these features:

Asterisk 1.2.6
several bugfixes
Freepbx.org (formally known as AMP’
CentOS 4.3
SugarCRM 4.0.1e + Asterisk plug-in

Maybe this isn´t for the faint of heart and it might me better too wait for the final release.

  1. [...] Earlier I wrote that it is almost impossible to update existing Asterisk At Home installations. This however isn’t totally true. Nerd Vittles is having a short tutorial to update at least the Asterisk part of your AAH installation. But beware and be carefull: things could still go terribly wrong!
