VoIPonCD an Asterisk At Home Killer?
I really like the flexibility and versatility of Asterisk PBX. However it’s not really easy to install and has a vast amount of options and configurations.
Therefore I like preconfigured installs like AsteriskAtHome and Xorcom Rapid.

Updating Asterisk At Home for the brave.
Earlier I wrote that it is almost impossible to update existing Asterisk At Home installations. This however isn’t totally true. Nerd Vittles is having a short tutorial to update at least the Asterisk part of your AAH installation. But beware and be carefull: things could still go terribly wrong!

Asterisk@Home 2.8beta1 is available for download. I have really no idea why this is a beta, and I feel a little reluctant installingen it since new releases keep coming and there is no other way to upgrade an existing installation than installing the whole package and restoring your old config files.
