According to this post at the AAH-forums, the new version will be released tomorrow, May 30th. The new version will come with a new name, upgrade mechanisme and many more features.

Snap is a dialer that works under Windows XP, together with Asterisk. Snap finds your contacts phonenumber, tells Asterisk to dial the number and when connected ring your own phone. You pick up the phone and start talking! It integrates with outlook and office. More features can be found here.
I think this software is great because it lets you dial from your desktop but handle the calls with any hardware you´re comfortable with.

A new version of VoIPonCD has been released, It´s at version 1.28 now. Not too many changes except that it now comes with Asterisk 1.2.7.1 and astcc is called from a database from now on.

A little less enthusiastic about the new Gizmo. The thing keeps on crashing on startup. Back to version 1.3…
Update! I did a full uninstall of 1.3, downloaden 2.0 again and logged in with my existing username and password. Now it is working!

I really think this is great news. The really great alternative to Skype, Gizmo Project has released a new version of their softphone. It has version 2.0 and comes with support for the Asterisk PBX! It lets you log in to your gizmo-account and simultaneously to another SIP based server. (Not only Asterisk, but also switchvox, epygi and others). This might be a killer feature! Thanks Gizmo!
