There will be no Asterisk@Home 2.9! But don’t worry…

In this post on the Asterisk@Home forums it is said that there will be no new version of this excellent PBX. However, no reason to be sad since there will be an update with a brand new name! This update will be more centric around business so the old name was no longer suitable.

One of the great features I’ve been waiting for so long is that it will be upgradeable! So no more ‘Updating Asterisk At Home for the brave‘.

Will this, more business centric version, be an opportunity for the authors to create some revenue by doing commercial support? I hope that the new PBX will still be as easy to use as it is now for the home user.

This new release will be available within a few weeks. Than we’ll know…
